Ganesha is the god of wisdom and one of the most favorite gods of Maharashtra. Every year the whole state and also the country welcomes Ganesha on Ganesh Chaturthi and establishes the idol for ten days. The tenth day is the Ananta Chaturdashi on which most of the households and also the social groups bid adieu to their holy Bappa by calling him again and again ‘Pudhchya varshi Lavkar Ya’.

L7 Group the major industrial group with interests in varied businesses believes in the festivals and celebrations that bring all the society together and exchange happiness and love. The core group headed by the dynamic industrialist Ravi Agrawal, has always ensured that the work is carried out wisely so that prosperity prevails in the life of each and every member of the company.

Welcoming Prosperity

Lord Ganesha is a very important God for the Hindus. No auspicious occasion or event starts before worshiping him. That is why he is also known as ‘Prathama Pujya’. The whole festival ends when the idol of Lord Ganesha is immersed in a nearby lake or river. The procession that takes place during the journey of immersion is highly vibrant with lot of music, dance and enjoyment. The worshippers of God Ganesha are constantly shouting ‘Moraya, Moraya.’

The Lord of wisdom is carried in decorated chariot. Different groups play different music and dance such as lezhim and everywhere there is a cheerful atmosphere. Since Lord Ganapati the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Paravati is supposed to bring wealth and prosperity, it is revered by everyone and is offered special flowers like red lotus, hibiscus, kevda, shami patra and more.

A word of Caution

During the immersion of Ganapati idol, the offerings such as garlands and flowers are also immersed in the lake. Over the years this has been one of the major causes of pollution in many water bodies. Lately, people and the government bodies have awakened and now artificial tanks are created for the immersion of Ganesha. This step has been taken to protect the living species in the water from choking due to pollution.

L7 Supports the Cause and the Worship Too

Lord Ganesha’s worship is revered by L7 team. However, as a progressive and growing company with idealistic views that can help everyone prosper and grow, the company supports the cause of protecting environment from pollution. That is why; the group supports the idea that the idol should be immersed in artificial lake. And if at all the visarjan is to be conducted in a natural lake, all the offerings should be removed.

Furthermore, the pollution can be stopped by choosing Ganesha idols made from soil and not from POP material.

On the occasion of Ganesh visarjan, L7 Group vows to support the cause of saving our lakes from being polluted so that the festival of Ganapati can be celebrated without causing any harm to the environment.
